Volume 2, Unit 4
The inspired Word of God teaches us life lessons that should be applied to every human condition. As we study the scriptures, we discover that there are no experiences common to man that God has not already prescribed a course of action that lead one to a victorious outcome. While it is true that emotions are natural feelings or reactions, how one reacts to them demonstrate his/her surrender to God’s Word, Will, and Way. This unit will focus on a range of emotions experienced by everyone in life, and demonstrate the critical need for the sincere Christian to overcome them.
Volume 2, Unit 3
Strategic planning for military maneuvers are often so high-level and complex that the average unit or individual can only be apprised of a small piece of the battle plan (big picture). The Commander In Chief knows far more than he is able to disclose yet makes decisions that must be carried out to the letter if the waged war is to be won. This truth applies on the spiritual level as well. The total of the war between God and Satan is beyond human comprehension, yet as Christians enlisted by Christ to fight in the trenches, it is important that we undergo some basic training. This series of lessons are intended to shed some light on the Christian warfare so we can be prepared for the battle.
Volume 2, Unit 2
"A measure of faith is given by God to every man. Understanding the workings of faith enables us to make proper place for it in our Christian walk, value those opportunities and experiences that enable its growth, and allow it to both build and operate freely to the saving of our soul. Scripture admonishes us that “without faith it is impossible to please God.”
Volume 2, Unit 1
We are exhorted by the word of God to “grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (1 Peter 3:18). This is typically referred to as progressive sanctification; Christ is being reproduced in us, more and more, by the Spirit’s control. In closing his letter to the church at Thessalonica, Apostle Paul gives us an action plan to achieve being continually conformed into the image of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (1 Thessalonians 5:16-23). Thus, our position before God is that we are sanctified, set apart unto God; our experience is that we are being sanctified in our daily lives — progressively.
Volume 1, Unit 4
Salvation is the foundation of the Christian experience. Without receiving salvation according to the scriptures, there can be no spiritual growth and maturation to help disciple others to Christ. There is a general consensus among believers that one must be saved; but how does one receive it and what is the process? These and other questions have left much confusion within and without the church community. This unit of study will present a step-by-step process, according to biblical principles, of how salvation (deliverance from sin) is received and maintained.
Volume 1, Unit 3
The miraculous birth of Christ is celebrated all over the world by Christians. This momentous event began the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies given by God through His prophets. The birth of Christ is evidenced as God-breathed in every aspect from his unscientific conception, humble delivery, and eternal purpose.
Volume 1, Unit 2
When we hear the gospel, the revealed Will of God for mankind through His written and spoken Word, we always respond to God’s call. As we internalize God’s truth, we make a conscious decision to surrender to His Will, defer His beckon, justify our actions, or simply disobey His commands. Examining the experience of others should help us see the plight of disobedience and the reward of yielding to God.
Volume 1, Unit 1
The church community is constantly seeking programs and activities that stimulate increased membership. Tactics have been expanded to include nearly every socially acceptable activity that is engaged in within the lifestyles of the masses. Yet, God provides us with the only biblically sound formula that has been proven and still works today. In this unit, we will explore God’s pattern for church growth.
